This is the top of the line Mercedes. This is the big boy. It will out run any BMW 750i anyday. I know I have. I bought it when it had 52000 miles and I drove out of town for work. It has a lot of hwy miles from driving to Western KS. I paid $40,000 4 years ago. I love every thing about this car. It drives awesome. The V8 4.3 liter 275 hp engine will get to you 100mph in no time. It drives so smooth. The cabin is so quiet in side you will never go back to driving anything else. I really hate to get rid of it but I just have no room for it at my new house. It always has been garaged. I just put new rotors and brakes on it. Just changed the oil. It is ready to drive home. Car has a phenomenal Bose audio system, Power windows, dual power memory seats,, locks, cold A/C and hot heat and all of it works. No warning lights on and it runs and shifts beautifully. This is a car you can get in and drive just about anywhere your heart desires, have driven the car 2000 miles with 25mpg fuel economy to boot. This car also features the hard to find Xenon headlights and the mocha top on rare smoke silver color combination. Top mechanism has been well maintained and works without issue. Now why is the car priced so low? Quite simply because it does not include the hard top. I have found that the hard top is not necessary nor did my prior BMW even have one standard. It is much easier to enjoy the top down experience in this car if you don´t have to lift off the silly top every time you want to use the soft top. That being said, the metal hard tops are available for purchase on Ebay or other sources for as little as 500.00. They are not difficult to get by any means. Keep in mind there is another SL currently listed here for just a couple grand less with a *LOT* more miles, so for someone looking for one of these cars, this is a great deal on a car that isn´t a mystery from a shady car lot. This car came from an MB dealer when I obtained it and they only keep the best trades.Car includes both floor mats, the complete set of booklets and manuals with leather case, TWO sets of key/remotes and a CD Changer in the trunk. There´´s PLENTY of meat on the Yokohama tires, which are mounted on 17 inch AMG Monoblock rims. Keep in mind that being a 14 year old car there are minor dings and small scratches throughout, but overall the car is in excellent condition for the year. Car now has 99k miles and recently passed MO state safety and emissions with flying colors. Driven daily so mileage may be higher.
