Powered by a 362 horsepower v8 and a 5 speed automatic transmission. This one has all the options including HID headlamps and navigation. Color is silver with silver leather interior. Currently has about 77,500 miles on it. Needs nothing and even comes with the remaining extended warranty until 3/2013 or about another 12k miles. That alone would normally cost a few thousand dollars. I have all the manuals for it as well. The car is completely stock with the exception of clear side markes and the upgraded CLK front grille and flat AMG badge on the hood. The original grille will come with the car. Details: I am selling a 1997, 8-cylinder Mercedes Benz E-420. This car is a good, tax time vehicle for someone looking for a bit of luxury at an affordable price. The car is 14 years old and has 147,000 miles on it. I am the third owner of the Benz and I purchased it in Illinois. All of the electronic toys work in the car, windows, seats, heat, air and every other power controlled item. As you can see from the pictures it is very clean and hasn´t any dents on the body. I just bought a new car and (sadly) it is time for the Benz to go. The car has a strong engine, always starts and is clean for a 14 year old car. It does need a tune up and a catalytic converter to pass the emissions test with the DMV. As a runner, the car runs decently and is dependable. I´d also put new struts on it too if I were the lucky owner of the car (To totally quiet minor front-end noise). If the tune-up were performed on it, it would run like it did in ´97. On a scale of 1-10, she runs at an 8. When pulling off from a dead stop, it lags at times-picks up speed and runs well thereafter. Most of the work I´ve had done on it was completed by a Milwaukee area foreign car shop, (Matt´s car specialists on Vliet and Hawley Rd). That´s all there is to tell about the car. Good luck to you. The chrome, interior and other body parts are in good to above average conditon. The odometer shows 000 1796. It was originally dark green and repainted to a metallic black at one point.
