Details: OK, so here we go again, I need to sell this solid running diesel, as we already own 2 wagons, it´s got a vegetherm conversion and runs on WVO (waste vegetable oil), as well as diesel, it´s not too pretty but, like I said, runs well. If you know these cars you know that they have NO PICK UP WHATSOEVER, but, once they´re at cruising speed, they´ll go 65 quite comfortably. They don´t get great mileage (around 20+ in town), but if you can find a source for good grease and know how to refine & filter it, your fuel will be free. Except for your labor of course. And your exhaust will smell like french fries, or funnel cakes... Mmmm.Known defects/issues: It needs new glow plugs, the headliner is ripped (thanks to my dogs, grrrr!) and the rear middle armrest has also fallen victim to my pups teething, the hood ornament is now missing thanks to some idiot ripping it off and the plastic lens covers on the front lights are starting to crack and kind of decompose. I recently replaced the fuel lines because they burst when I was trying to sell it 6 months ago. Oh yeah, the gasket on the trunk needs to be replaced, there´s usually some water that needs to be bailed out of the trunk after a good rain. I am a mechanic and have spent countless hours cleaning up this beautiful machine, and if anyone can answer a question about this car it is me. It has never broken down on me in the six years I´ve owned it, and I made the trip from the Bay Area to SLO on Saturday afternoon without any problems at all.I can assure you, unless you are VERY ugly, you will get waves and compliments all day long in this beautiful ride. Two already this morning before posting this ad while I was cleaning out the trunk.There are some issues with the car, and they are reflected in the price. There is a small leak in the radiator, meaning you need to check the levels periodically. There are two dents on the drivers side from a hit and run when someone backed into it while it was parked on the street. I believe they can be popped out without cracking paint or anything and I am taking the benz to a body shop this morning to see what they can do. The seats all were restuffed and had new leather installed by the previous owner, but after he let it sit in the sun too long the back seat developed some cracks. The steering coupling needs to be replaced. The weatherstripping needs to be done, that was going to be my next project for this car.It runs beautifully. No two ways about it. For all its minor flaws, it really doesn´t take away from the ride. Call to set up a time to see it, I am not in a rush to sell this car as it is driven DAILY and has been a DAILY DRIVER. This is certainly not a parts car and I will not accept low ball offers. Just received the stickers for the license plate, so the registration is good until 2013.
