This is the most efficient 5 cylinder turbo diesel Mercedes or any company has made. Look around, this is the motor to get. The transmission and motor is a half a million mile setup no problem. Its also the best motor ever made for vegetable oil (SVO WVO). I average over 30 MPG in town and high 30s on the freeway. 158k miles. Thats very low for a 27 year old car. No rust, small crack in dash. Interior and glass mint. One window is slightly off track but no big deal to fix. I dont drive it. Make me an offer. Details: 1992 Mercedes SL 500 / 500 SL Convertible. This is my wife´s car. It has 37,000 actual miles. She has had it for 4 years. It had about 33,000 miles on it when she got it. It has been maintained service wise at Maplewood Mercedes. That is also where we bought it. It has the hardtop too which is on a stand. I am not sure if it ever has been on it. The wheels and tires were put on new at the dealer when we bought it. We also have the original wheels/tires. We have all the books and the original window sticker. It is always garaged and stored in a heated garage in the winter. Only reason for selling it is that she just does not drive it enough and she just hates to see it sit there when someone else can get more enjoyment from it. We do not have to sell it.
