Details: after selling my 81 diesel benz, i purchased this car to drive while i searched for another diesel benz, knowing that it would have the luxury that i had grown accustomed to. It has a strong running 6cyl engine with approximately 100k (odometer stuck at 88k). The exterior is in nice shape, with minor cosmetic flaws here and there, the interior is in decent shape, with working power seats and windows, and the underside of the car is very clean and solid. the battery and alternator were replaced last week. the car has some minor quirks, as to be expected for it´s age, but it runs, shifts, and drives well.issues include:-cruise control does not work-missing knob for drivers seat adjustment (still works, but you have to put something small into the slot to move it) the car has a driver profile memory with two settings. once you get the seat/steering wheel/mirrors where you like them, just set them to a memory, and if anything gets moved, just press the button and they all go back to where you set them.-moonroof does not open (the motor works, but i believe it´s just off the tracks)-power door locks work from the inside (just push one lock down, and they all lock) but the key does not work in the door locks or trunk, those locks were probably replaced at some point in the car´s life, and the key to them must have been lost. a locksmith should be able to re-key the locks to match the existing key. the key does however lock the glove compartment for storing valuables.-the car could also probably use a tune-up, but as it is, it´s my daily driver, and i just drove it to North Carolina and backoverall a solid car with a classic style that´s sure to get attention everywhere you goit has a clean and clear title, and just passed NYS inspection in january.I´m asking $4000 or best offer, and will consider trades or partial trades for any diesel mercedes between the years of ´80 and ´85I´ve tried to be as descriptive as possible, but please feel free to respond with any questions you might have.
