Details: I am selling my meticulously maintained 1997 Mercedes-Benz E420. I have owned this car for the past two years and loved every minute of it. I am only selling it because I now have a company car and I´m getting married. This Mercedes-Benz E-Class has the 4.2 liter V8 that produces around 295hp and 295 ft. lb of torque. She will get up and go if you want. Even with that kind of power, the engine yields excellent fuel economy. I typically get around 20mpg town and 25-28mpg highway. The ride on this car is amazing. Great suspension. Not quite as soft as a Cadillac but not as sporty as say a BMW M3. Just perfect. The turning radius is ridiculously tight too. Quite literally on a dime. I have all the maintenance records since I have owned it. I am religious about oil changes and services. I also have only ever used Shell Premium in this car, and you can tell. The color is called Midnight Blue and the interior is Parchment Tan leather. Options: 6-disc CD, dual climate, sunroof, power seats, power mirrors, car phone (never used it haha), side air bags, thermometer, cruise control, power windows, power door locks, and more. Also bought the rare official rubber mats for the car with the MB logo. The car has 114xxx miles on it. I bought it with 69k and everything on it since has been highway. This is my 3rd MB and absolutely the best one I´ve owned. With 114k miles it is barely broken in. The E-Class will go for well over 250k miles easily. My last one gave up the ghost with 486k miles on it. I´m asking $7650 or best offer for it. Blue book is $7900 for private party. Back seat is in good shape and enormous, passenger seat has small crack in the leather which is covered by the seat cover. I have the original window sticker which shows the cost of this vehicle in 1987 at over $52k. Recent service in last year:-4 wheel alignment-transmission fluid and filter -new front tires-new brakes-new fuel filters and lines-new sheepskin seat covers-EGR removed (still have it and can reinstall in 5 minutes) -new radiatorWhat doesn´t work:-sunroof fuse is pulled because it occasionally comes off the track. It does not leak. -right rear window is intermittent, I just leave it up. -cruise control (I have not trouble shot it)-heater core is bypassed because it was dripping. I have an electric heater that will come with the car which is what I use. New heater core is $150-$170.
