Details: Finally putting my Mercedes Benz up for sale. I´ve owned it for two years, and have upgraded.The car has treated me well, and I have performed all the work since I´ve owned it. I´ve done plenty of maintenance and replaced or upgraded many parts. The car was very poorly taken care of before it came into my possession, and still, due to being a college student on a budget, I have yet to get to things that I wished I had time to fix. Now, there is a mystery clog/unknown in the cooling system and the car will not drive without overheating (would also prefer not to damage the head/block any further).Feel free to send me an email and ask any questions, I know every inch of this car very very well. Here´ a quick run-down:The good:Healthy compression measured last summer (275-300 psi/cylinder), and starts quickly every time.Upgraded pencil-style glowplugsOriginal intake and oil-bath filter1 new fuel injectorNew drag linkNew fuel lines in the engine bayRegular valve adjustments, new fuel filters and oil filterReplaced fuel tank senderMany important accessories and trim elements including: Oil bath filter (original air intake) Hood emblem including star and ´radiator cap´ Grill inserts Complete headlight surrounds Original jack and tire-iron Water bottle for windshield washer HVAC fan workingAnd, of course, full disclosure:Engine runs strong, but overheats.Rust. There are several rust holes along the driver-side skirts and wheel well. Some are relatively largeElectrical. I have tried to solve many electrical issues myself, but much of the system was redone amateur years ago.Interior. I´ve seen worse, but the seats are torn and the carpet was recovered with house-carpet. Despite that, the headliner has but one flaw in it.Rubber. Much of the suspension system squeaks and is in desperate need of replacement are the ball joints, control arm bushings, tie rods and rear sway bar links.I would love to give the car up for restoration - it deserves it. Details: This is a 2001 AMG ML55, this is a serious SUV for a driver that needs Mercedes refinement and AMG power. This truck is amazing, it has the power to get around or in front of nearly anything. I crawl past people on the highway. It´s hard to utilize all of it´s power. It has the mighty AMG 55 motor and transmission that produce a jaw dropping 346 hp. This power plant is amazing. It also has the tip-tronic manual shifter in case you would like to put somebody in their place. The vehicle has 159k on it and runs great. It does need a few things. The power steering pump is going out and needs to be replaced, it will cost about $350 not necessary now I´ve been driving it everyday but if you don´t want to hear the whining of a pump going out then you´ll have to replace it. It also needs a crank position sensor put in so it will start immediately $100 plus installation. Also not necessary it starts everytime I´d be happy to show you, its just like starting up a car when the battery is dying you have to crank the key and hit the gas a few times. Again completely not necessary to drive. As for the exterior I hit a concrete beam while backing out of an apartment complex and it put a hole the size of a plum in the drivers rear bumper fascia. I´ve tapped black electrical tape over it, from ten feet away you can´t notice it. Other thing is the hood is a little scuffed up from driving up the mountains ive had quite a few rocks hit the hood and scuff the paint, also not noticeable from ten feet away as you can see by the pictures. All in all the truck is great: black leather and interior, chrome AMG wheels it´s really got it going on. Great in the snow it has AWD I couldn´t get it stuck if I tried. I was literally passing people in the blizzard. I´ve got a clean title. Don´t bother offering me 8k or 8500 I´m flexible but not going to bend over if you know what im saying. I´ve got a few other vehicles that need some things done but I am not desperate to sell this truck I mean look at it, it´s awesome.
