Details: 1983 Mercedes Gold 300SD with only 206K miles: Body, Interior and Mechanical are all an 8 out of 10. Body/Frame is 99.5% rust free (spent some time in Florida and was not driven in the winter the last 10 years), could use new paint but it does look great from 10 feet away. Interior is nice and clean, no rips in leather seats, one tiny crack in dash, radio was working when I bought the car but isn´t now (radio installer said one of the front speakers may be out because radio is getting power), driver´s seat sags a little (rest of seats are solid).Mechanical: New in the last six months: Michelin tires, blower motor, window motor for driver´s window, glow plugs, fuel filters, oil filter, braided fuel return lines. A/C does not work. Heat works. After it´s warmed up it does shake quite a bit while idling but doesn´t at all when you´re driving. Transmission does flare going from 2nd to 3rd and sometimes 3rd to 4th. Lower oil cooler line is wet with oil so you may want to get that replaced if you´re going to drive her everyday. I only drive her once every week or two.I would say I have 80% of the maintenance records going back to 1983 including the original books. $6000 in repairs were performed in 2003.
