The vehicle currently has 114k on it but slowly go up as i drive. It is a 93 mercedes 300e, and has the 2.8 liter inline six. Whitch is quite a peppy motor for its size. inspection is good till 8/12, and all the last inspection took was rear pads and rotors. It has been maintained at a dealer/well known import independant since it rolled off the truck. I would not hesitate to drive to california today. Details: Well the time has come that we need to get rid of this classic LOW INSURANCE. We have had for about ten years and it has served us very well. I have used it as a nearly daily driver to go to school and work for the past few years and it runs very well. the engine and transmission are in great shape. There are some problems with it though. The speedometer stopped working recently and consequently the odometer has stopped too. Also the passanger side rear door does not open. the locking mechanism is jammed and i havent had the time to take apart the door panel and fix it. The radio doesnt seem to turn on. There is also some rust developing on the rear quarter panels behind the wheels. A few years ago we had a respray done as the paint was starting to fade, but other than that its all original. You really must see this car, as it really is in nice shape. this car has not been restored, its in its original condition. This car could easily be fixed up to show condition by someone or just drivin around town in its current condition. Price: 1750.00 obo negotiable. The reduction in the price is reflective of the above issues, and I feel that it is more than responsible considering that it is small cosmetic issues. Details: This is a rare breed that´s tough to find.......it´s a 1991 Mercedes Benz 300 SL 2 seater Hardtop/Convertible. The hardtop lifts off and the convertible top stores in the rear compartment. It is in great shape bodywise with only minor scratches here and there. It was recently brought up from North Carolina and has no rust at all. The underneath is really clean too. It has 168000 showiing on the odometer and the air conditioner needs recharged and the convertible top needs put up and down by hand. The tires are in good condition and the interior is all leather and pretty darn clean too with no tears or splits in the upholstery. It´s an overdrive type automatic transmission linked to a dual overhead cam straight 6 cylinder engine that gets about 20 mpg around town and a little more on trips. The interior is a light tan, all leather, and in great shape with no tears or rips. The air conditioner needs recharged and the soft tops has to be put up by hand. The tires are good and it has a CD Stereo radio replacing the original tape radio.
